Outlawz CAS Challenge CAS0529

Hey there Bloggeritas!  I wanted you to see the card I made for the Outlawz CAS challenge.  I'll make this post short since I'm at work and should therefore technically be working. LOL!  Here are the juices and berries:

I love it...it's rugged, rough and tumble.  Just grungy enough for dear old DAD!  Enjoy your Tuesday!

TTT #1

Hey  Bloggeritas!  I wanted to share with you my project for the FIRST EVER challenge over at my new challenge blog TRIPLICATE TRIALS TUESDAY!  Please visit us and give the challenge a try!  The challenge incorporates three elements, a sketch, colors and a theme.  It's a bi-weekly challenge which gives you plenty of time to dream up a project.  The Triple T Team is a very talented group of ladies that have some wonderful creations to share.  Here are the juices and berries of the challenge:

Here is what I came up with.  You NEVER see video game ads geared toward females and trust me there are some hardcore female gamers out there so, I figured why not make a girly gamer card?  I just love it!  I hope you do too!

Case Study #41

In a about 16 days I will turn 29!  Gee Whiz!  Where did all the time go?  I'm excited because I'm on my 50lbs by 30 campaign and I'm really motivated.  I wanted to make a card that highlighted how magnificent I know 30 is going to be.  Of course I couldn't make the card for myself so I added "for my sister".  How darling!  I used the CASE study challenge to make it so.  Here are the juices and berries of the challenge:

What rich and full colors.  Why am I suddenly craving Waverly wall paper from 1995?  :)

CAS-ual Friday C4C #4 Graduation

Whenever you think about graduation, you think about diplomas, caps and gowns, black...etc. etc.  You hardly ever think of fuchsia and doves huh?  Yeah, me either but, for some reason...I threw them on my card for the CAS-ual Fridays Graduation challenge.  Here are the juices and berries:

A very pink and frilly graduation card indeed!  Hats off to the grads of 2011!

FTL 142

My most favorite cards are cards that are giving just because.  We all need to feel admired, appreciated and adored and what better way to convey those feeling than to send a just because card.  The sentiment on this card is more than appropriate for making some one feel great!  It says "You make a difference in my life".  That's a powerful sentiment. I charge you to let someone know that they make a difference in your life.  Here are the juices and berries of the Clean and Simple Stamping sketch challenge:

The polka dots make me happy!  Laters!

Embellish Color Trends Challenge with Text!

Hey Bloggeritas!  Time for another go 'round with the Embellish Color Trends challenge!  This time, you are required to incorporate TEXT into your project.  The colors are so subdued and peaceful and they seem to go well with a get well card.  Here are the juices and berries:

I just love the Ad Sense stamps and dies from PTI.  I really enjoy the flare they add to any project.  Well, that's it for now.  See you later!

Outlawz Wednesday Sketch 5/25

Hey y'all!  I hope you're enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend!  Thank you to all our service men and women!  I would like to share with you a card I made for a friend of mine.  She needed a get well card and I thought about how much I enjoy getting cards that are vibrant and cheery when I'm sick.  Don't you?  Here are the juices and berries of the sketch challenge:

Well, there you have it.  A bright and happy "feel better" card is just what the doctor ordered!

Proud to be an American!

Off The Wall Craftiness #53

Hello Bloggeritas!  It is a beautifully sunny day here in Atlanta, GA!  I am having a hard time sitting here at my desk.  I'm not near any windows so, I can't really enjoy the view but, it's comforting just knowing how splendid it is outside.  One of my nearest and dearest friends, Melva, is leaving Atlanta to go to another state.  I wanted to make her a card that she could keep and pick-up when she things about our friendship.  I used the OTWC challenge to make it so.  Here are the juices and berries:

Whoop there it is! :)  I hope she enjoys the card!  Now get outta here and go enjoy the sunshine!

SSD 77

Hey y'all!  I've got another quick post for you!  This one is for the Skipping Stones Design sketch challenge #77.  Check out the juices and berries:

I used SSD's grunge stamp set for the background on this card.  It's adds texture I think!  Also, I have quite a few brown and brown-esque dye inks but, for some reason my Crayola water based marker in "Brown" did the trick.  Nice huh?  Crafting on a budget...gotta love that!

PPA94 and Color Throw Down #142

Good morning Bloggeritas!  This has been one long week I tell ya!  The weekend offers no sign of rest but, that's okay.  I'd rather be busy and happy than sad and rested!  I wanted to share a card with you that I made for the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge and the Color Throw Down.  Here are the juices and berries:

Don't you just LOVE that sentiment?  Dad, my hero!  I instantly think of my son and my husband when I look at that sentiment.  What an amazing thing parenting is.  Okay...that's it for now.  Enjoy your weekend!

Embellish Color Trends and FTL 140

Hey y'all!  Do you enjoy playing with different card making/scrapbooking styles?  I do.  It's like changing up your hair and clothes.  I'm going to start letting my quirky and fun side show a bit more in my cards.  Why not right?  They're my cards and they'll be CAS if I want to, Shabby chic if I want them to, FUN if I want them to!  Too much blog singing?  Well guess what?  I'm going to share a little secret with you...I have musical turrets.  I'm prone to bursting out into song radomly all day and even in my sleep!

I digress...let's get down to the juices and berries of the Embellish Color Trends challenge (use a tag too) and the Clean and Simple sketch challenge #140.

I struggle with these pictures y'all.  Someone stole my digital camera (or I could have lost it) and I've been using my phone to take pics.  It's a pretty awesome smart phone but...eh...what are you going to do? I hope you enjoyed the card!

Yo baby, yo baby, yo!  I hope you liked the card!  I've got to hurry up and submit!  Whew!

CPS Card Sketches Challenge #218

Hey Bloggeritas!  It is a chilly week here in Atlanta.  I don't know what is going on with the weather Gods but, I need them to restore our normal May weather!  I don't like the frigid air...it does absolutely NOTHING for my skin! :)

I played along with CPS Card Sketches this week.  Here are the juices and berries:

Well, there you have it!  I think is a deviation from my normal style and I'm LOVIN' it!  Although I must admit that I love every craft I make because I made it with LUV! :)  See you really soon!

Oh!  Visit my new challenge blog Triplicate Trials Tuesday (three part challenge color, sketch, theme) and check out part one of the challenge as well as the members of our DT!

Distressed Tags for Scraps of Color

This has been a slow posting week for me.  I'm trying to relax after a busy couple of weeks.  I wanted to share with you some tags I made for the Distressed Tag swap that I signed up for on Scraps of Color.  I never make tags and this was an opportunity to flex my tag chops!  I hope you enjoy them.

Well, that's it!  I think I've got the tag bug and I'll be making more soon.  I can't believe it's almost release time for Papertrey Ink.  I don't think I can keep up!  I've got to save my pennies before I buy anything...or maybe I won't! :)  Have a great day!

CASE Study #39

Hey Bloggeritas!  Apparently, Blogger was on the fritz when I tried to post this card initially.  However, now that all is well, I'd like to share with you a card I made for the CASE study challenge #39.  I have been really enjoying the weekend and I'm vowing to continue this trend of enjoying every moment of life all week long (even on Mondays).  Here are the juices and berries:

Well, there you have it!  I enjoyed creating this card.  I enjoy creating any card truthfully!  Remember to forget your troubles and enjoy your time here on this Earth!

PDCC #80

You guys have no idea how many Mother's Day cards that I've made.  Mainly because I don't know how many I've made! LOL!  The card below is for the Plate Date Cafe Challenge.  It's for my mother in love, Lauraetta.  She's the best!

Here are the juices and berries:

Here is my creation.  P.S. She LOVED it!  Yaaay!  I hope all you mothers enjoyed a wonderful day.  My husband was a doll and my son was the sweetest (as usual) so, my day was perfect.  LATER! :)
